Top Ten Tuesday is a weakly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. They love lists as much as I do, so it's only fair to tip my hat.
Okay, since choosing my Top 10 favorite covers of all time would take hours of deep contemplation and soul searching, forget it! We're going Top 10 favorite YA covers of 2012. That makes it easier since a lot of covers aren't even out yet, and I can safely cut out MG and adult books! Since this week's all about the covers, I'm going to stay quiet and just let you enjoy the pretties. Let me know what you think and what covers you picked!
I love the one for Frostfire! The purples and blues are just gorgeous and the bright red text is fabulous against the cooler background. Lovelove!

I have only seen one of these before (This Is Not a Test), so thank you for sharing so many new (to me) covers!:)
ReplyDeleteI should have done top 10 of 2012! It's seriously hard to choose. All your covers have a haunting trait to them! Very cool and intriguing!
ReplyDeleteOh goodness, you're right! Apparently I'm somewhat morbid, but the haunting factor is what attracts me. =)
DeleteI love The List's cover as well! Dragonswood is also very stunning. Great choices.

I love Daughter of Nightmares cover. I haven't seen the Catch and Release cover before, but I'm intrigued...
ReplyDeleteI like the cover on The List -- I've never heard of that one before, nor have I read and Siobhan Vivian. I need to get on that! I'm a sucker for books with full-cover photos like that. And Catch and Release is quite different. It would definitely stand out on a shelf.
ReplyDeleteUmmm yeahhhh to Dragonswood that's on my list too!! Also love Girl of Nightmares, can't wait for it to come out!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful choices. I think I like Frostfire the best.
ReplyDeleteAmazing list! Dragonwood is stunning! Catch & Release is also really good.

WHOA these are all so stunning. I think my favorite is Dragonswood, although it's a slim margin above the others. Great choices. YA always makes their covers so exciting and the colors always POP!

ReplyDeleteI really love the This Is Not A Test cover. It's mildly creepy but still really pretty. I like the blood spatters too.
ReplyDeleteLove the cover for the UK edition of Code Name Verity! I think it looks a lot nicer than the US cover. Glad I was able to grab a copy of it from Book Depository. :)

ReplyDeletealso, Zoe Marriot's covers are SO striking! they really stand out in the very best of ways :)
