September returns to Fairyland to reunite with A-Through-L, Saturday, and Gleam, and to confront her shadow-self, who has become the queen of Fairyland-Below, the upside-down world beneath the Fairyland of the first novel, filled with creatures of water and shadow, tales of ancient Fairyland before the human world was born, and not a few hungry buffins, blind birds of ice and moonlight. The yearly revels of Fairyland-Below climax in a mysterious rite September must avert or else lose her shadow forever.

Did you guys see this?!  Did you?!  Last week, the cover for the upcoming sequel to the beloved The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making was released and I just about died.  Died I say!  I adore the art in this series so so much, and I am happy to see that this cover is at least as gorgeous and breathtaking as the first.  I like that it’s a bit more creepy!  I cannot even express my excitement at seeing this book come out, and I wait impatiently for the day that it is in my hands.

  1. OKAY I am going to be honest. I tried to read The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland a few months ago and I couldn't get into it! I brought it home this week from work to try again and haven't had the heart to pick it up. I don't know what is wrong with me as everyone I trust has raved about it!!

    1. Dude, you shouldn't feel bad about it! I didn't enjoy it as much as I THOUGHT I would because of the hype, but I did still enjoy it. In fact, I read it after I'd started writing reviews for the blog (but before starting the blog) and DIDN'T review it even though I knew there would be a sequel that I would then not review as well because I am OCD about reviewing the whole series.

  2. I haven't read the prequel.. Actually because of the hype and because I'm not even a big fan of YA, so I was unsure if I'd like MG. Though, to be honest, as far as I can tell MG is not as annoying as YA usually is, I suppose, so.. XD

Anyway, thank you for sharing! I didn't know there'd be a sequel!

  3. I have the first book (too long of a title to type) on my bookshelf...I should really do my best to read it. I hear it is fantastic and I can see that you agree! I need to try and read from my shelf more often :)

  4. This does sound interesting!
    Thanks for sharing,

  5. I bought the first on my Nook (and I can be a real cheap-o on my Nook books -- but I paid full price) then couldn't get into it. Maybe I should give it a go again?

  6. I've never heard of this book or the first one at all! It sounds really intriguing. Is it very world-building and dense though? I have trouble getting into those types. ...

  7. I still need to read the first book, but the creepiness of this one is kind of freaking me out :P

Share your thoughts, I love to hear them!
